Early Education Enrollment in the OASD
The Oconomowoc Area School District offers outstanding 4K programs at all five of our elementary schools. Continue reading for information on enrolling in 4K and enrolling a 5K student who is new to the OASD.
Which School Will My Child Attend?

Who Can Enroll in 4K?
- 4K enrollment is for all children starting 4K at an OASD school in the 2025-2026 school year.
- New-to-the-district families with children who will be four years old on or before September 1, 2025, can follow the steps below to enroll.
- The Oconomowoc Area School District offers a three-year-old screening program available to those children whose parents have concerns about their child’s development. Parents can call the OASD Student Services department (262) 560-2157 to discuss whether screening is appropriate.
OASD 4K Format
- The OASD offers half-day 4K with a morning session from 8:40–11:20 a.m. and an afternoon session from 1:00–3:40 p.m.
- The school will assign students to either the morning or afternoon session and notify families of their session and teacher in August each year.
- You’ll learn more about busing services and your child’s bus route during the summer online registration process.

Who Can Enroll in 5K?
- 5K enrollment is for children that are new to the district, did not attend an OASD school for 4K, and need to enroll for the 2025-2026 school year.
- New-to-the-district families with children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2025, can follow the steps below to enroll.
- If your child currently attends an OASD school for 4K, you do not need to enroll them for 5K. You'll use the annual student registration process during the summer to register for 5K.
OASD 5K Format
- The OASD offers full-day 5K from 8:40 a.m. – 3:40 p.m.
- The school will assign students to their classroom and teacher then notify families in August each year.
- Busing services for the OASD are provided by GoRiteway Transportation. You’ll learn more about your child’s bus route during the summer online registration process.

All OASD Elementary schools will offer 4K wrap around care in the 2025-2026 school year through a partnership with the YMCA. Visit our YMCA Child Care page to learn more about all of the options available.

Step 1: Which Online Enrollment Link to Use
Families With NO Children Currently Attending an OASD School
- Click this link to begin enrolling
- You'll begin the enrollment process by requesting a new online account.
- We recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to complete online enrollment.
- Once you complete the new online account request, you will receive a confirmation email with your log in and password to access your OASD Skyward Family Access account.
- After you log in to Skyward Family Access, click the New Student Enrollment button on the left to begin enrollment for your 4K or 5K child.
Families With an Older Child Currently Enrolled in an OASD School
- Click this link to log in to Skyward Family Access
- You'll begin the enrollment process through your current Skyward Family Access Account.
- After you log in to Skyward Family Access, click the New Student Enrollment button on the left to begin enrollment for your 4K or 5K child.
- We recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to complete online enrollment.
- The enrollment form may not function properly on a tablet or smartphone.
Step 2: Complete Online Enrollment
- Please complete all of the enrollment steps and online forms.
- NEW - you are now able to upload your proof of residency during online enrollment.
- The OASD requires families to provide two documents as proof of residency.
- The first document must be one of these:
- If renting - a signed and current Lease Verification Form
- An accepted offer to purchase
- A closing statement for the purchase of a home or an occupancy permit for new home construction
- Current property tax statement but not for an undeveloped lot
- The second document must be one of these:
- Current month's utility bill
- Current homeowner's/renter's insurance statement
- W-2, SSI, or other state or federal benefit statement
- Driver's license or license plate renewal notice
- In order to verify residency, the OASD requires proof of the address at which the family lives. This residency must be a street address; we will not accept post office boxes. Falsification of any information or documents relative to this verification procedure may result in the immediate withdrawal from the Oconomowoc Area School District. Students are not considered enrolled and eligible to register until the residency verification process is complete.
- You will receive a confirmation email once you've completed the enrollment process.
Step 3: Bring Birth Certificate to School
- The OASD requires newly enrolled families to provide proof of an original birth certificate for each child; photocopies will not be accepted.
- If you did not upload your proof of residency document during the online enrollment process, please bring this document along with the original birth certificate to school.
- Please bring your documents to your home school between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on regular school days.
- During the summer or when school is not in session, please call your home school's main office to request an appointment. Use the contact information on our Schools web page.
Step 4: Welcome to the OASD!
- After you've completed the enrollment process, keep an eye on your email for more information on the events we're hosting to introduce you and your child to their new school!
