About Oconomowoc High School
Oconomowoc High School (OHS) has a long and rich tradition of excellence. Whether you focus on academics, athletics, or the fine arts, OHS is among the best in Wisconsin. Most staff members have earned a Master's Degree.
OHS is home to approximately 1,600 students and is located in the City of Oconomowoc. The school sits on 53 acres and has recently upgraded all outdoor athletic facilities for tennis, track, football, softball, baseball and soccer. The school also has a new Field House for indoor sports and events and a Physical Development Center, constructed by the Oconomowoc Sports Booster Club. The Oconomowoc Arts Center (OAC), a 750-seat professional arts center was completed in 2008 at the north end of the campus.
ACADEMICS
OHS offers both Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate classes. OHS offers a full IB Diploma Programme or students can take individual IB classes as part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. The IB Diploma Programme is a demanding pre-university course of study that is recognized around the world. IB students are well prepared for university work and also may earn university credits while attending high school.
OHS students achieve at a high level, as demonstrated by standardized test scores that consistently rank above national and state norms. The school offers a block schedule giving students greater opportunity to take advantage of a rich curriculum while maintaining a commitment to the rigors of a strong academic program.
