Gifted and Talented

The goal of the gifted and talented program is to provide systematic and continuous programming for students identified as gifted and talented in one or more of the five areas of giftedness as defined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. To that end, the gifted and talented resource staff provides individualized student assessments for identification and programming purposes, individualized Pupil Education Plans for students identified as gifted and talented, and consultation services for staff, students, and families.


Currently, there are hundreds of students in the Oconomowoc Area School District formally identified as Gifted and Talented in one or more of the five areas of giftedness as defined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.


This plan provides the Board of Education, the Administration, the Resource and Teaching Staff, and the community with information pertaining to gifted education and talent development services during the 2016/19 school years.
