Food Service With Aramark

OASD has built a strong food service program over the past several years.  We've invested in the food service equipment and kitchens, improved food quality, partnered with local providers, and successfully accommodated many students with food allergies.  Each day our team of food service employees prepare and serve over 3,000 meals to students in our eight schools. It has been proven that students need good nutrition to feed their minds and bodies to enable them to learn while in school. Our goal is to provide a high quality, safe, and healthy meal to every OASD student while providing the best customer service possible.

USDA EXTENDS FREE MEAL PROGRAM

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service has again extended the free student meals program, providing a free breakfast and lunch option for students in grades K-8, until June 30, 2022.

Ala carte and snack items are not included in the free meal program and will remain available for purchase.  OHS students will NOT have a free meal option available unless a student qualifies for, and enrolls in, the Free and Reduced Meal Program.

Allergy Menu Offerings

Allergy Menu Offerings

The Oconomowoc Area School District offers an alternative menu for students with food allergies and intolerances within the hot lunch program.  To safeguard your children’s well-being and ensure that the information we provide regarding each menu item is accurate at all times, Aramark uses a specific allergen menu that offers items prepared from scratch which do not use specific allergens in their preparation. This special menu will be offered only to students who have a physician-ordered special diet who need the safety of the ingredients in the food items they select.  Our school food service staff members have been trained to handle these special meals in a manner that prevents cross-contamination with the regular hot lunch menu items.

How Do I Order An Allergy-Friendly Meal for My Child?

There are a few required steps for families to take advantage of the allergy-friendly menu:

1) To provide this service, The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) requires a medical statement form be completed and signed by your child's doctor.

2) Families must submit the online Allergy Meal Request form one time only, to select the program for the school-year.

  • Click here for the online Allergy Meal Request form
  • You will only need to submit this form one time for the school year.
  • Please submit your allergy meal request form 48 hours before you would like your child to begin receiving the allergy menu items.
  • Your child will continue to receive the allergy menu items based on this menu until you request, by email, to discontinue the program.  To discontinue your child's allergy meals, please email the Aramark Food Service Director.
  • Please be aware that your allergy meal request cannot be fulfilled until you have completed the Medical Statement for Special Dietary needs form and submitted the completed form to the Aramark Food Service Director.

Questions?

If you have questions about the allergy menu offerings or lunch program, please contact the Aramark Food Service Director at MarsdenB@oasd.org or (262)-560-2146.
